With its program The Gaming Music Live, the unique Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague is heading to the most prestigious concert stages. These will be filled with melodies from the greatest video game titles of recent years.
The live orchestral performance of beloved melodies from the most famous computer and video games will be presented by the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague and the Bohemian Choir Prague, conducted by chief conductor Martin Šanda.
“A live performance of this music draws visitors into the magical world of video games. Together, we will journey through the history of game music — from Super Mario and Mortal Kombat, through Final Fantasy and Duke, all the way to hits like Uncharted 4 and The Witcher 3. It’s truly the ‘best of’ the past years. I believe that a large symphonic orchestra with a choir will offer a truly unique and deeply emotional experience,” invites Martin Šanda, chief conductor of the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague.
During the concert, you will also hear melodies from immortal games such as World of Warcraft, God of War, and Zelda. The program will also include music from hits like Assassin’s Creed, Battlefield 1942, Max Payne, Halo 3, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
All this and much more will be enjoyed by the audience in a performance by a large symphonic orchestra and choir. “Game music is just as unique and attractive to listeners as film music. A good example is Crysis 2, whose author is the famous film composer Hans Zimmer,” says chief conductor and orchestra director Martin Šanda, who founded this musical ensemble.
