THEN COMES SILENCE will visit Prague on 20th September 2026 as part of their tour.

Have you ever wondered what victory over adversity sounds like? The answer is "Trickery", the seventh album by gothic post-punk legends THEN COMES SILENCE.

The year is 2022 and on the eve of their first ever US tour and in an effort to promote their excellent albums "Machine" (2020) and "Hunger" (2022) for the first time, THEN COMES SILENCE suddenly and unexpectedly shrink to three members. Will their famous darkwave wall of sound work with just three band members? The answer was a resounding yes, so much so that the band decided to go with a slimmed-down line-up to continue permanently on further US tours (supporting Vision Video and The Bellwether Syndicate) and European tours, and now back in the studio. This unwanted metamorphosis of the band has led to a different way of making music and performing live.

To capture the core and essence of the trio's live qualities, "Trickery" was recorded in just three days at Kapsylen Studio in Stockholm.

Jonas Fransson (in the band since 2015) provides an energetic punk backbeat and sleaze punk fan Hugo Zombie (a new addition in 2018) delivers an inventive and rhythmic guitar lines. But the main focus is on singer and bassist Alex Svenson, the only surviving member of the band's 2012 debut album, whose velvety vocals and tight bass lines on "Trickery" are complemented by retro synth sounds reminiscent of his recent solo futuristic wave project Neonpocalypse. "The electronic elements are essential to 'Trickery'," says Alex, but they also pay homage to punk music, the cradle of THEN COMES SILENCE and the cradle of post-punk.

Then Comes Silence are a highly regarded band of gothic, post-punk and darkwave. Their songs are pleasing to the ear after listening, and hard to forget.

The band has played at M'era Luna, Wave Gotik Treffen, W-Festival, Dark Force Fest, Castle Party, Roskilde Festival, Der Schwarze Ball and Amphi Festival, among others.
