Yann Tiersen is a French musician and composer known for his emotive, minimalist compositions that blend classical music, folk, and electronic elements. His work continues to evolve toward experimentation and a deep connection with nature.

In times of climate crisis, Tiersen is transforming the way musicians travel and create – instead of large tours, he often sets out alone, sometimes just with his dog, or aboard his sailboat Ninnog, where he connects music with the landscapes and communities he visits.

His new album Rathlin from a Distance | The Liquid Hour combines introspective piano pieces with expressive electronic sounds. The first part reflects inner transformation and the calm of the sea, while the second brings energy, anger, and hope – a call for authenticity, connection, and changing the world.
